Sewn Up
I got a new sewing maching for Christmas...sew... you know what that means, right?
You say your heart's been broken,
torn in two by the mere touch
of a cruel hand.
The pieces are thrown to the wind,
in a million jigsaw shapes.
There is little hope for you,
the test of love has failed
and you fear the frost
of winter's grasp, the ice
of loveless days.
Let me sew you back together,
the tug of needle and silken thread,
strands of hope and desire
won't hurt as much,
as the chill of loneliness.
With each stitch, I'll sew
you how love can be reborn,
how dreams can canvas your heart
and that each seam will seem
like a new beginning of love.
